The Write Idea

I've been toying with the idea of creating this blog for several weeks.  I wanted a place that I could just write.  So here it is!  I'll be posting a little bit of everything, pretty much whatever I feel like writing!  So, without further ado, here is my first entry!

This is a poem that I wrote a couple months back (before there was two feet of snow on the ground)!

Fall

The leaves are changing colour,

The wind is getting cold.

The days are getting longer,

The winter air is bold.

And as I sit here writing,

I look up at the sky.

The summer air is leaving soon,

I bid the warmth goodbye.

And as I sit here thinking,

The leaves begin to fall.

The birds are flying south for now,

I listen to their call.

The wind whips leaves around me,

and I marvel at them all. 

The summer days are over,

And now it's time for fall.
